Monday 12th September: Prof Kevin Dowd: The Decapitalization of the West

Prof Kevin Dowd is a visiting professor in at the Pensions Institute at the Cass Business School, London, and an academic economist. He recently wrote a book with Martin Hutchinson called ‘The Alchemists of Loss: How Modern Finance and Government Intervention Crashed the Financial System’. Within the book he highlighted how loose monetary policy leads to malinvestment, a lack of savings and lower living standards. Kevin is particularly interested in free-banking or laissez-faire financial and monetary systems. 

Kevin will deliver a lecture on the decapitalization of the west followed by a Q & A and drinks reception.
