Are we ready to discuss policy?

A detailed debate now about policies could be very distracting. Potential members will of course want to design a party to suit the changes they want it to make in the country, but are we better off focusing on the organisational design before discussing policy?

Are there policy positions that might influence party design?

  1. To answer the question: No, we’re not ready to discuss policy.

However, we should be ready to discuss and agree those common principles that define us as Libertarians – perhaps with a slight nod to the fact we’re in the UK and Europe. Therefore our party’s principles may not be identical to those espoused by US libertarians.
