Romney had to take on two people – Obama, and the “Moderator” (who interrupted Romney 28 times and Obama only 8 times – and the nature of the interruptions was different also).
And the crowd was picked by Gallop. Hence such questions as “how are you different from Bush”.
However, in spite of all the above, the only time Obama really scored was at the end – when he did his prewritten 47% tapdance. And Obama could only score because he came out with this as his closing statement – which was the end of the debate (so Romney had no chance to reply to it).
So it seems that Romney is going to win the election – as Obama (even with all the help from the media and so on) is just no good.
However………
Romney will then face a trillion (one thousand billion) Dollar fiscal deficit.
The idea that the United States can grow out of this will not work – it simply will not.
And increasing taxes (when they are at the level they already are) will not get more revenue.
So do you see a credible plan for cuts in government spending of one TILLION Dollars?
No – neither do I.
Take “Big Bird” (PBS and NPR) to the back of the woodshed and cut his head off (I agree with you 100% on that one Governor), but that is not going to save a TRILLION Dollars.
And a trillion has to be found.
