Alex Singleton is once again laying on a movie especially for libertarians and political nerds in London. This time he’ll be bringing the political comedy drama Thank You for Smoking to Baker Street’s Everyman Theatre.
Alex writes:
The movie itself is profoundly libertarian. It revolves around Nick Naylor, a communications consultant for naturally toasted cigarettes. Or a tobacco lobbyist as the critics would label him. Along with his friends representing alcohol and shooting, Nick fight the forces of Big Government, who want to put them out of business. Thank You For Smoking is a hilarious look at the world of nanny state and the fight for the individual liberty.
The cinema has a fully stocked bar and will will open for coffee and gin and tonics etc at 10:30am. The film will be shown from 11am and lasts approximately 92 minutes.
