Yes – UKIP is not a libertarian party. But it does want, a smaller government – and it is hard to tell from this article whether Alex Massie does. It is not even clear, from this article, that A.M. wants to free people from that layer of government that is the European Union.
By the way I have no dog in this fight – I am NOT a member of UKIP.

That’s true, he really says nothing much beyond what headline says viz. that UKIP have various authoritarian policies.
