Mr Lilburne and the other Moderates (only their enemies called them “Levellers”) are good heros to have. They were in favour of religious toleration and low taxes – and (by the way) were against anyone who was dependent government having the vote.

Odd synchronicity – I had been reading up a little on the speeches of such people a month or so ago.
If I were to do a free audio reading, their pamphlets are in my shortlist.
